How do I take these medications?
Both Wegovy® and Zepbound® are self-administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection — meaning a small needle goes just under the skin, typically in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
Each comes in a pre-filled autoinjector pen that makes dosing simple. Your provider will walk you through the technique, and Kin Meds provides detailed injection instructions with your shipment. Doses are gradually increased over the first several months to minimize side effects.
In the SURMOUNT clinical trials, patients on the highest dose lost an average of ~22.5% of body weight, outperforming Wegovy® in head-to-head data. It’s generally considered the more powerful option but may have different insurance coverage and availability depending on your state.
Am I eligible for Wegovy® or Zepbound® through Naked Rx?
General FDA eligibility guidelines require:
- BMI of 30 or higher, OR
- BMI of 27 or higher plus at least one weight-related condition (e.g., high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol)
Final eligibility is determined by your licensed provider after reviewing your health intake and lab results. Not all applicants will qualify. Certain medical conditions and medications may be contraindications.
Does insurance cover Wegovy® or Zepbound®?
Insurance coverage for branded GLP-1 medications varies significantly by plan. Wegovy® currently has broader insurance coverage than Zepbound®, particularly under plans that cover anti-obesity medications.

What if I'm not approved — do I get a refund?
The $49 application and screening fee covers the cost of the at-home blood test and clinical intake review — this fee applies regardless of the outcome and is non-refundable as services are rendered during the screening process.
